I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
